The National Ports Administration (ANP) approved a new special tariff for the import of capital goods with industrial destination, set at USD 42.51 per unloaded ton. This measure seeks to encourage the installation of industries, generate employment and strengthen foreign trade logistics, provided that the goods are declared of interest by the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining under Law No. 16,906.
The tariff will be valid for an initial period of 12 months and may be extended. Interested companies must have Industrial Promotion certification and submit the corresponding documentation to the ANP.
